Belvoir (pronounced 'Beaver') Castle is a beautiful place. Even the name means "beautiful view". It was used as the pope's summer residence in The Da Vinci Code and hosts an annual folk music weekend, has an annual fireworks competition and a large array of events including a Teddy Bear Picnic. An Algerian hacker group "Dz-SeC" (bless you) mistook Belvoir Castle with the Belvoir (pronounced 'Belvoir' with the thickest French accent you can muster) Stronghold in Jerusalem, which was a crusader outpost dismantled in 1217. The castle homepage was hijacked displaying an Algerian flag and a anti-Semitic tirade. Can't we all just get along?[Belvoir Stronghold pictured above]
